I want to share with you my sweet friend, RUTHIE. She’s a wife, mother of three beautiful children, and loves Jesus. Isn’t she GORGEOUS!! Here’s some thoughts from her and some pictures of her KILLA style.
“Never be afraid to try something new. Remember, amateurs built the ark. Professionals built the Titanic.” David Roads
I believe the two main road blocks to pursing dreams and aspirations is fear of failure and fear of the unknown. No one wants to venture out into anything that doesn’t give assurance of success off the bat. We as humans want to try things that have a guarantee of actually working and yielding good outcomes.
When I started my current blog I hesitated for months. I didn’t want to start something that would once again fail. Prior to “ruthieridleyblog” I had two other blogs that did not do well. Looking back, it was because I hadn’t quite found my niche. After asking many people if I should do a fashion blog, begging God to back it up with success and coming up with a plan, I ventured out and started my blog in January of this year. Since then, God has opened up doors that I would not have imagined, I’m excercising my creative muscles and I’m beginning to dream again.
I want to encourage you all today that if there’s something you want to do, go for it. Even if you’ve failed a thousand times before. It might be that 1,001 time that you nail it. For me it was a process of discovering who I was and then focusing in the right areas. There are successful people all around us that have done what we want to do before. Asking for help and direction is always wise! Don’t be discouraged because you don’t know it all, and never wait til you have it all figured out. Lastly, I love this quote “if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again!” Greatness was never developed over night!! Thanks for reading today!
