Happy Wednesday!! Hope that you are having a splendid week thus far!! I’m not sure about you, but as a momma of four littles, I need a little boost of encouragement or a reboot here and there. This week, I had the privilege to get away with a few friends and hear someone share at a ladies event. It was the perfect reminder. She started off by reading this:

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me, and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

She asked three questions that all of us should ask ourselves daily:

Who put this yoke on me? Who am I trying to please? What is motivating me?

Let me be the first one to answer these questions. So, I tend to overcommit myself so the stress that I have been battling is totally self inflicted. Also, I hate letting others down. People pleasing (kid pleasing, husband pleasing, friend pleasing, brand pleasing) can still be a motivation for me which it is impossible to please others. So, what is the solution of living a grace filled, stress free, non-people pleasing life? Keep company with Him, and we will learn to live freely and lightly!!

On another encouraging note, like many of you, I am always on the hunt for easy, everyday outfits that can be worn to lunch with the girlfriends, to a school event with kids or to date night with my hubs.
