With Mother’s Day only days away, I wanted to share a few things that I’ve learned from my mom. She has definitely been superwoman in our families eyes.
.
And, I’ll let y’all take a peek at one of the gifts that I purchased for her from Stage. Stage is one of my mom’s favorite places to shop. No joke.
.
..
First of all…
I know that I’m not the only one who agrees that Motherhood is not for the weak. It’s hard, exhausting YET beautiful, joyful and the greatest gift from heaven. I am personally so thankful for the standard that my mom set in our home. And, y’all, she was raised in a dysfunctional home and married at 15 years old. How is she even normal?! LOL
No home is completely perfect, but the home that I grew up in was a safe and loving place for me.
.
.
Secondly…
My mom was and still is such a great example of a true servant. I don’t think that she has ever told me “NO” when I was or still am in need of her help. She was at every sports activity that we ever participated in no matter the time or the destination, and she made sure that we never lacked when it came to our bellies being full or when we needed new clothes. She created this safe environment in our home. We never had to question her love for us. It showed in her daily actions. This is something that I strive to do in our home too.
.
.
Thirdly…
My mom loves people. She doesn’t meet a stranger. You will know our entire family history {the good and the very ugly} within the first few minutes of meeting her. Her love for people has made me not be afraid to embrace others, to pursue others, and to build new friendships. But, it may take me a few weeks to tell you our family history!!!
.
.
Fourthly…
My mom takes care of herself. She is 75 years old and is a hot momma. She works out almost daily, takes time to do things that she loves, works in her garden, stays active, shops for new clothes weekly and dresses cute from head to toe every single day. She has been an example to me all of these years, and I’m so very thankful that she set the bar high.

As I was thinking about what to get her, I know a few things that would be cool. But, I love to give practical gifts so she can actually use them daily. We both love makeup and perfume, and we use it daily. So, I’m going with perfume. Stage is our local store that makes it so easy for me to pick out her favorite fragrances. They have great gift sets for Mother’s Day too. I got her a new set by Juicy Couture that I think she will love. It smells divine. If you don’t have a clue as to what to get your mom, I suggest stopping at your local Stage or shopping online HERE and snagging a fragrance set. It’s practical yet thoughtful.
Did you get your Mother’s Day gift for your mom yet?? If you did, leave a comment and let me know what you got your lovely mom.
