STRIPES and chambray •

I arrived home from our girl’s trip on Monday. On Tuesday, we had rough weather swipe through our small city which led to tornado warnings and taking shelter in the bathtub with four kids. We are fine and just lost electricity, but as I am writing these words, my heart hurts for those in our city that experienced devastation caused by these tornadoes. Homes, businesses, and lives were horrifically affected. We have many helping and many praying.

I was planning on sharing my pictures from  the beautiful island of the Bahamas.
But, I’ll hold off  to share such beauty.

Onto better news, we celebrated my babies 5th birthday yesterday. Abram Daniel is a kid of wonder. We are amazed at the confidence and personality that is packaged in such a small being.

As I reflect on these past few years of  life with him, I’m so thankful and humbled that God picked me to be his mother. I’ve claimed over him since birth that he would be a joyful, bold leader who would hear and respond to the voice of God. And, he wouldn’t succumb to the pressures of his peers. It’s amazing to already see that those words are taking shape in him even at the young age of 5. It’s mind blowing.

It gives me a glimpse of the destiny that God has for him. If all grown ups could just view themselves as my baby, Abram, views himself….

I confidently want to share a simple two piece striped outfit that I snagged from forever21 for under $30. I am sharing three ways that it can be styled because I am not a fan of a fitted skirt and a fitted top. How about that pony though?! It is my husband’s favorite hair do so why not rock it with stripes.
