WELL, I wanted to give you an update on my thoughts about my hand tied extensions. I have been having them for almost a year. Lacey Henderson from Hello Gorgeous Hair Studio was the only person in my area that was certified to do the habit tied extensions at the time, and she is by far the best. After 10 months of having the same hair, it was time to get new hair. And, y’all, Lacey Henderson just launched her own line of hair- HG extensions. I am in love with the variety that she designed. The color that she paired with my hair is just perfect. You can check out some of the other color options- HERE.

Here are some of my most asked questions:
.
.
WHY DID YOU GET EXTENSIONS?
With age, my hair just got thinner. I noticed the biggest change after my fourth baby in my mid 30’s. I started off with just wearing clip-in extensions. I wore the clip-in extensions for one year, and I had the tape-in extensions for almost three years. Both are okay. The clip-ins did start to cause bald spots because of the weight. With the tape-ins, I was missing my messy bun and high pony tails.

.IS THE HAND TIED HAIR EXTENSIONS SEWN IN??
The technique was created by Hair by Chrissy where the wefts {strips of hair} are added to your hair by beading, and they hand-tie the wefts to your natural hair. The process takes a little longer than tape-ins. .

HOW LONG DID THE HAIR LAST?
Well, the hair was healthy up until the 10th month which is really good. I use only salon approved hair products, wash my hair 1-2 times a week, and use hot tools only twice a week . My hand tied extensions have to be moved up every 10 weeks. I don’t like to go any longer than that. And, I get them moved up 4-5 times a year. So far, I am really loving Lacey Henderson’s HG extensions. The quality and texture of the hair is amazing, and it holds a curl for days.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
This varies based on the amount of rows that you get. I started out with two rows and decided to add a third. Just reach out to Lacey Henderson, and she can give you an exact quote.

DOES IT TAKE EXTRA TIME TO WASH AND STYLE?
I treat them the same way that I treated my normal hair. I’ve only used salon grade hair products for the last six years so I continue to do so with my extensions too. I wash my hair only once a week, and I make sure to use some oil on the ends to keep the hair conditioned. They are a little heavy and much thicker so it takes a little longer to blow dry. But, once they are styled, the extensions keep the curls for days longer.
