This post has been waiting to be published for a week now because back to school time is craz-yyyy. We {or just me} still have to adjust to the early mornings and new afternoon routine. My boys have done so well. I’m hoping that this continues. But, y’all, on a serious note, how handsome are my boys?!?? I know that I am biased because they have my heart. But, for real, how cute are they!??!! HA!!

As a young girl and newly married wife, I would pray for only girls!! Well, the GOOD Lord decided that I needed the opposite. I just felt like I would be a better girl mom. But, now, I couldn’t imagine life any different. I needed these boys. They have helped me mature as a mom and as a person. They challenge me in ways that my daughter can’t and won’t. They are rough, they are tough and quite rambunctious, but they are also tender and very affectionate.

I recently had a melt down after a shopping excursion with them at Old Navy. We were picking out these outfits. It was suppose to be a fun day. I was going to treat them to Chick-fil-A and a movie or trampoline park after the shopping. Wearing them out is always a good choice, right??!! Well, Old Navy was an hour of hell and too much fussing. I got in the car and started balling like a baby. I’ve never lost it in front of them. Creed started crying with me and another one was saying that he was so sorry {and the third one took a little longer to break.. ha}. It was a raw moment but beautiful at the same time. They hated what they did to me and felt remorse. Gahhhhh, it made my heart swell with pride knowing that their tenderness towards me was so genuine. God knew what He was doing when He gave me these precious boys. A day in the life of a boy is always full of adventure, mischief, and silliness. I don’t ever want to crush those characteristics because it’s part of who they are. But, I need to just continue to teach them that there is a time and place for everything.

All this to say, love your kids well. They are a gift from heaven. Love them well even when they don’t follow through with what you want them to do. Show them love each day with words of acceptance and belief in them. Show them grace and kindness like you would want someone to show you. Lead by example. If you don’t want them controlling their siblings or friends with anger, you don’t control them with anger. Speak life over them. Let them know that they aren’t an annoyance. These are our little disciples. To father and mother our children is the greatest calling on earth. Let’s do this well.

.Old Navy never lets me down when it comes to dressing my family from head to toe. We added some fall items to our closets, and jeans were first on the list. My jeans are my favorite ever made by Old Navy. Here is link: HERE. They are the Mid-Rise Built-In Sculpt Rockstar Ankle Jeans. They fit TTS and so AMAZING!!!
.
And, my boys are obsessed with their soft tees. Creed wears them to bed instead of his pajamas because that’s how good that they are. Check out this post where I shared more options from Old Navy: HERE. I snagged a few sweatshirts for them too along with a couple of the plaid tops because I know that they will sell out quickly. I’ll link all of our outfits below.
