Okay, this backyard party {bohemian inspired} has been pinned numerous times on my Pinterest board. So, Bella’s birthday was a perfect opportunity to make it come to life. Here is the breakdown of what I had, what I bought + what we did to bring it to life.

What I had:
I had pretty everything. So, my first suggestion is to look throughout your house for items that you can use as decoration. My second suggestion is to borrow from some friends. And, my third suggestion is to go thrifting. All of my vintage vases + candlesticks were bought for $1 each at thrift shops. So, here is the breakdown of what I already had.
.
5 kilim rugs
throw pillows + poufs
6 pallets
cactuses + succulents
macrame runners
vintage brass candlesticks
vintage milk glass vases
mercury glass holders
string lights
vintage chair
cake plates + serving trays
vintage plates for food

What I had to purchase:
I only had to purchase a few things to add some finishing touches. And, all charcuteri board items, shrimp pasta ingredients, roasted corn, strawberry cake ingredients, lemonade + tea were purchased at Trader Joe’s. Oh, and, the fresh flowers were from Trader Joe’s too.
.
teepee
Mason jars
straws
napkins
forks
candlesticks
votive candles
fresh flowers

What we had to do to make it come to life:
So, first things first, I bought the mason jars to use as the cups. Mike drilled a hole in the lid so we could add the cute straws. I linked those above because I’m obsessed. Mike put together the teepee which was pretty easy. He also picked up the pallets + rugs {I store them in a office at our church}. I bought all of the food items the day before. And, I gathered all of the small decor + made a pile in the kitchen. It honestly took me longer to cook than to set up.
The only thing that got a little tricky was when we zip tied the string lights in our tree. But, that added a magical touch once the sun set. I’m trying to think if I have any more tips. If you don’t have cactuses + succulents, just cut some greenery from your garden. Think that is it!!!
Oh yeh, we had music playing to set the mood. And, when the sun set, we sat around + had lots of heart gush conversations. It was just perfect + dreamy.

What a gorgeous tablescape and I’m swooning over the cake! Looks like it was a fun party. What purpose did the teepee serve?
