Guess who’s birthday it is?? Yes, it is Mike the man’s special day. Y’all, he is a half of a century old. Wow!! Can’t even believe that I am saying that about him. 50 years old use to be an ancient age, but now, it is just the beginning of a new, exciting decade. And, Mike is like fine wine. He gets more handsome with age.

If you haven’t ever heard me tell the story about the beginning of Mike’s life, let me tell that story once again. His dad, Michael Allen Clause, was from Labadieville, LA, and his mom, Linda Buquoi, was from Plaquemine, LA. In 1967 0r 1968, they fell in love while his dad was attending LSU and majoring in Engineering. Shortly after this, he was drafted into the Army.

Before beginning his tour on February 12, 1969, he married Linda Buquoi in January 1969.
.Regretfully, on March 5, 1969, Michael Allen Clause Sr. was killed in action.
And, on October 11, 1969, Michael Allen Clause Jr. {my hubby} was born into this world.

Each time that I think about his miraculous entry into the world, I am in awe. He was a gift to his mom and to the entire Clause family. In a time of loss, they gained a handsome baby boy that reflected the face of his beloved father. I will forever be thankful for his life and his story.
