I took a break from blogging on Monday not because I didn’t feel like it, but I really have to disconnect from my list of to do’s for those brief moments and reconnect to what really matters.

I noticed after church this past Sunday that I was being extremely hard on myself over the silliest of things {I’m human.. Lol.}: “You ate beef after saying that you wanted to stop eating it, you can’t stick with anything, you still say the word “sh**” when you get upset, you correct your kids for words that aren’t nice, and you still say them yourself, you still can’t mend that friendship, you must have something wrong with you…”. It was one negative, defeating thought after the other. “You know how many times that you have said that you were going to paint the toy room, you are a procrastinator.”. Gosh, I know that I said that I needed to do it at least 50 times in the past 3 months. Hellur, it’s STILL not painted. Well, I could keep sharing more and more thoughts that were bombarding my mind.

BUT, I decided to start naming all of the beautiful attributes of the Father. Umm, I’m made in His image #lightbulbmoment #yessss. Y’all, I seriously felt the overwhelming pleasure of God and was reminded “you are a work in progress.. Unfinished.” I don’t want to get all heart gushy, BUT I am in love with this man named JESUS who continues to overwhelm me with acceptance and with affirmation even in my weakest of moments, even when I’m choosing not to believe what He says.

    
Unfinished just means we are still being molded and perfected. He is the potter, and we are the clay. We are the work of His hand. I’m clinging to that truth!!
