After spending the weekend with some of my family and friends in Alabama, I appreciate and I recognize the atmosphere that has been cultivated over the years. It hasn’t always been perfect, but one thing is for sure, it IS an atmosphere that screams: I accept you {even if you have b.o. or even fart}, I enjoy you {even if you are obnoxious at times}, I believe in you {regardless of your choices}, and I love you for life. 

“Surround yourself with people who make you hungry for life, touch your heart and nourish your soul.”

Don’t we all secretly want to be able to let our hair down and laugh at our wild stories and peculiar personalities?? Don’t we all want cheerleaders in our corner? Don’t we all want lifers/friends who will stick by us even when we don’t see eye to eye??

I love the statement: find your tribe. I have actually had some people ask me how did I become so vulnerable and find those friends. Well, in my opinion, it’s hasn’t always been easy but ask yourself these simple questions:
What honestly is holding you back??
What are you specifically looking for??

I would suggest to journal the answers to those questions. Be intentional in finding your God ordained tribe. The good news is that it is possible to find it and keep it without faking it!! God has placed a deep longing inside of each of us for positive relationships because He is a relational God.
